Market signals have dropped to a WEAK BUY and caution is still in the air. Economic Stats were mixed this
week. While the Philly Fed's Business Outlook, the Leading Economic Indicators and Retail Sales were
disappointing, the others were either on par or better than expected. Capacity Utilization, mentioned here last
week, ticked up again after a couple of flat months and this confirms that the drop in the Unemployment Rate is
real. Also, Industrial Production was better than expected and Housing Starts and Building Permits have hit
levels not seen since 2008. The former being a sign that the economy may not be softening and the latter being
a sign that the real estate market may finally pick up. While overall Construction Spending, which is seasonal,
has been flat this year, I eagerly await the Home Sales numbers next week which are expected to improve a bit. I
think the stock market is over-reacting to Europe again this year and am looking for buying opportunities.

The Description

Stock-MD (About Us) is a membership website with a weekly email newsletter.  The Stock-MD Newsletter (Sample) tracks a model stock market investment portfolio for the benefit of the members.  The model portfolio represents a real portfolio but with a smaller position in each holding to make it easier for small investors to follow.  The real portfolio holds at least 5 times the number of shares represented in the model portfolio.

The Stock-MD database program evaluates over 30 market indices and 6000 securities using both technical and fundamental analysis.  Technical analysis is used to measure the momentum of the indices for market timing and the securities for specific buy and sell signals.  Fundamental analysis is used to select stocks with both value and growth characteristics and calculate specific target prices for each one.  Each stock flagged by the system and some others selected from the portfolio are individually researched in order to make the final buy and sell lists each week. 

The market data is downloaded and processed as soon as it is available from our source at the end of each trading week.  Each weekend after the individual research is completed, the Stock-MD Newsletter is posted to the Member Area of the website and emailed to members.
